Installing GTA V
To enter the BackFire, you need a legitimate version of GTA V. We run the latest version of GTA V 1.66.
System requirements
To run BackFire your system must meet the minimum requirements of the original game.
Requires a fully updated version of Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or Windows 11. An outdated operating system may not work. It is generally advised to upgrade to Windows 10 when you can as this provides the best experience.

Disabling antivirus
Some antivirus vendors like Avast, AVG and others are known to block BackFire procedures. Make sure your antivirus allows BackFire to run by adding BackFire to its exclusions list. We are aware of the situation and are intending to work on a solution for these issues.
First, locate where BackFire Launcher is installed.
If you installed BackFire Launcher in an empty folder, that's where you installed.
Otherwise:
Press
WinKey+R
on your keyboardType
%localappdata%\backfire
in the dialog that opensHit enter
Copy the path to your Launcher folder.
Add it to your antivirus exclusions. For the common antivirus vendors:

Make sure you have installed and updated GTA V
Download Launcher off the website.
Run BackFire.exe. If you run the installer in an empty folder, launcher will install there. Otherwise, it will install in
%localappdata%\backfire
.Start BackFire launcher from your Windows start menu.
